The answer you hate to hear: Preference. They are fairly soft though-perfect for park riding. Flex is nice and even and can still accommodate for the pop you need to mail it... I mean send it.

P.S., If you need a slighter stiffer binding, check the Ride Delta, you'll lose the V-Strap™ though.
