Gear Question

I am in my second season riding a snowboard....

Posted on

I am in my second season riding a snowboard. I currently have a ride control 158. I am 6'1" and weigh 195 lbs. Should I go to a 159 or 163? I understand that the V-Rocker or the Hero would be good beginning boards?. Any help would be great for this this mid 40's boarder. Also, what bindings would you recommend -- I am assuming my Ride SPI's will not work on the boards above as they are several years old. Thanks.

Bob- you are my height and weight dimensions to a "T".

The V-rocker custom is by know means a beginner board. You can buy it as a beginner and grow into it but this thing really performs!

For sizing: you can go with the 159 as sizing down a few CM's is a good idea with rocker

As for your bindings: This board has the Burton Channel system on it. Its made for unparalleled board flex and feel! To optimize you would want to get a pair of Burton EST bindings... however, any Burton or Forum binding will fit. Your Ride bindings will not work on the channel.
