Both are great bindings, the Shaka disk will fit on any four hole board, the shaka has a better ankle strap and it has gel for cushioning in the heels and under the balls of your feet as well. The cartel is going to be a bit stiffer of a binding, so if that is what you really want in a binding then get the Cartel, if you want a softer flex then run the Shaka
