The padding on these bindings is some of the best in the industry. I would however only recommend these bindings for riders with an aggressive stance. The highback of the Cartel pushes on the back of your calf causing you to bend your knees more than usual. I really like these binding, but I also have been boarding for 7 years. If your new to the sport, then perhaps these bindings aren't for you and you'll find the highback a pain.
