Great, but fragile...

By Ranked #2344 - Bindings January 9, 2009

I bought my Targas at the end of the 2007/2008 season and rode them once last season on my last day out. This season, I've ridden them about four times, and half of those times, something broke.

The first thing was the toe strap. It was a really cold day, and hopping off of the chair i stepped on the toe strap, and it snapped right in half! I went to strap in and saw my strap sliding down the slope. So, that day was pretty much a wash and a board tech fixed it with a file down burton toe ladder.

The second thing was the right high back (I ride regular). I did about three or four runs, got down to the chair lift and went to fold down the high back, and it had snapped right in half! I mean are you s**tting me? How does that happen? Maybe it was defective, but I'm just not so sure.

Rome customer service has been very helpful, though, and I had replacements for both parts within about a week. I will give them one more chance, but if something else breaks, I will go back to Ride bindings, which I've never had problems with.
