this beacon is very good, easy to use reliable and pretty good range. the range isnt as good and the SOS beacons (my favourite is SOS sledbug) but i would deffinately recomend this to anyone who is new to using these. but when your using this when you put it on receive it automaticaly changes back to transmit after a couple minutes so watch out for that.
