Ive never boarded using the caps on the toes. But I loved them halfway down the first time. Also I was worried about the forward lean, but its not that much once you're riding,plus you should have your legs bent a little anyway. Took'em to Mammoth and ruled the whole mountain with these, even hit some rails for fun and still worked great. Def. get these if you get a chance.
