This pack has everything! I haven't used it backcountry boarding yet, but its been great for camping, hiking and backpacking. It also carries all my dive gear and good for traveling too. It's got the vertical snowboard/skateboard carry that I use a lot. The hydration system works great, there's a "secret" bag under a flap that folds down to hold the bladder. I discover new things on this pack all the time. I've only had a couple months but it seems real durable. Its comfortable and pretty light weight. I'd definitely recommend it.
