This coat is too fly for words.
The coconut material is such an interesting texture, the burnt orange/tomato color is gorgeous and original, and the belt shapes it so that people can actually tell you're a chick under all your layers. It kind of mimics the shaped wool peacoats that are so popular right now, and it WORKS.
I'm not sure I would brave a real storm in it - I haven't worn it in heavy rain yet, but it doesn't have the hermetic feel of gore-tex waterproofing. Being from the rainy Northwest, I'm of the impression that most things waterproof won't last in a straight-up downpour, that's just how it is. The Cypress is also a little shorter than I'd like for serious snow or rain.
THAT SAID, sometimes you've got to lighten up and put fashion just a little ahead of function, and I am more willing to do that in regards to this coat.
