All you need is some thin under pants garment and you're good. I bought some thin breatheable pants for 15 bucks and with these pants over them I felt light, unrestricted, and warm. It was 20's on the hill and I was fine. Sat in the snow for 15 minutes, stayed dry and warm.

Not knowing how warm these were going to be, I went to the mountain on a 20 degree day wearing regular sweats underneath and was so warm, needed to cool down a couple times.
