I bought these for a surf trip I am going on, but couldn't see myself wearing them in the water. They were too short, and when bending my legs, the front part of the shorts kind of cut into my thighs. Not cute. It felt like the shorts just weren't made for my body type (a bit curvy, with a bit of a butt.) I am a size 6 in pants, and bought these in a large. I think that was the right size (any larger and the waist would be too big).
