bought my first kit in 2009 while in Vail, CO at the Burton store-all black variety-it is awesome! In 2010 I bought the leather kit online at Dogfunk and it totally sucks! Quality went waaaaay down in just one year. Glass strap is mis-stitched so there is a giant loop, and plastic container easily pops out when you try to open it. The quality went to crap in just one year-I expect more out of Burton. Love my 2009 kit though...2010 kits suck!
Bought one for my man for his bday and I don't care what anyone says about its size. If you snowboard and smoke like a chimney its more than big enough. If you grind before you fill the pouch it's more than a pinch and a chillum fits perfectly!!! It's a perfect day if you ride and have a kit!!!!
Jeff-I guess you didn't read the part where I wrote that I bought my 1st one at the BURTON store in Vail, CO. So, I 'highly' doubt it was a knockoff. The 2010 leather 'kit' I bought from Dogfunk may be a knockoff-but I don't think Dogfunk would do that. The Butron 'kikt' quality just happened to plummet in 2010...maybe they are back up to specs now-at leat I would hope so-this is a very important snowboarding accessory...you know what I mean.
It's kind of funny listening to you bash on something that does not exist. 2008 was the last year Burton came out with the 420 kit if you bought something that said it was a burton you got a knock off then. dont talk shit about an awesome product that does exactly what it was made for...

Burton sells it on their website right now in 2010...don't be a douche Jeff...and yeah...the quality went to sh!t in one season.
