It's good for those days when it's not too cold or chilly out. Say, when the temperature's around 60 F and not too windy. Having said that, I think this jacket looks a lot better in person; and the site's description that this jacket's fit is, "loose" is a little misleading. It's definitely a comfortable, roomy fit; but it is in NO way shapeless. Last note: fits true to size. I almost always wear a woman's xs; and this jacket (ordered in an xs) fit just right :] --not too big or small. A great, super-casual comfy jacket :]!
The fabric is about as thick as the average sweatshirt. That is, the material is similar to an athletic sweatshirt/hoodie) and is not thick or bulky by any means. I would not recommend this jacket for cold weather; and I do not recommend this jacket for windy weather because the inner lining is not isolating. The jacket is, however, good for when one would like a little more warmth :].
The outside is cotton like most sweaters and the inner lining is soft fleece. I consider this on the thin side only because it's not as chunky as wool. If 60 is warm where you are you'll probably be using it as a mid-layer.

Is the fabric on the thinner side then? 60 to me is warm weather, that's why i ask :)
