I've been tethered to Burton Custom X's for the last 7 years, love those boards, but needed a change. Had a chance to demo the NS Heritage last year and was blown away, the rocker & camber is a great balance, it's a little more subtle than the Lib Tech's that I've ridden. Vario Power grip is not nearly as serrated as magne-traction, i would say it is in some way similar to the mellow magne-traction on the new Jones snowboards, but it does the job and holds well on ice and variable snow conditions. My biggest hesitation in riding NS in the past was the weight, the boards have been notoriously tank-like (needed to be with a 3-year warranty!) but with the new carbon technology that NS has implemented, the weights are much more manageable. The Heritage is light, fast, responsive and durable, what more could you ask for in high performance snowboard!
