They are the perfect snowboarding headphone, because the are slim and fit right under your goggles comfortably. As far as using them with a beanie they are PERFECT. Sound quality is great. However, off the hill i dont use them at all. The material on the ear peices slips off my head very easily when im not wearing a beanie. So as far as a snowboarding headphone they are perfect. For everyday use, not so much.
