i have not used this on the mountain so this is applies only to trying in on before riding in it. first of all with regards to fit... i am 5' 11" and weigh about 180. i have a 30 inch inseam and 36 inch waist. based on reviews and research i got a medium cause everyone said it was so baggy. well, the medium was too small. not so much in the size but the because legs of the bottom half have a boot cut to them and the thigh portion was very tight with only long underwear on. also, when i put my thumbs thru the wrist gaitors, it was too short for me to lean foward to adjust bindings. and with a 36 inch waist, it was snug. so i thought that if temps drop and i have to add layers, it would be way too tight. i returned the medium for a large and was very pleased. not too much more baggy. i did not look ridiculous in the large at all. pant lenght was good (30 inch inseam) and the arms allowed me to have full range of motion. this is certainly the type of garment you would want a little extra room in as opposed to being tight. the legs are boot cut meaning the thigh portion is tapered and below the knee flares out. even with the large the fit is not too baggy and i certainly dont feel like i am wearing a big trash bag. it has a rad "haz mat" feel to it and i know i will be super warm. the zip up to the top with a helmut still gives you plenty of breathing room and wearing a helmut does not seem to restrict too much. a word about the initial quaility of the garment. it is made in china and quality is only average from inspection. certainly not up to the standards of some higher end lines. but for $250 i think it seems to be well made and i am sure a.b. had to cut some corners to keep the price down. as mentioned before, if the central zipper breaks, you are in trouble. i noticed some poorly sewn areas and hope it will hold up under riding conditions... looks superfly though and i am sure it will get plenty of attention on the mountain. all in all seems to be a solid piece for the price and much better than pants and a back filled with snow after a tumble. good on a.b. for making solid equipment without breaking the bank.
