stiff boots, terrible lacing

Got these earlier in the season from dogfunk, and couldn't stand them after 5 uses I have to buy a new pair of solomons.

pros: stiff, nice color.
cons: The laces of the liner only goes up to your ankles and they don't lock in. The top of the liner is tightened with velcro, but the tongue is so narrow it doesn't fully cover my shins (and i have average size legs). The lacing system is terrible also. You can pull hard on the laces and it will never tighten the top/bottom-most section. The little plastic loops that you feed the laces through also destroy the tongue after first use. The clips on the side that's supposed to lock in the upper/lower zone laces don't work at all; I have to tighten them after every run.
