I am not sure what pants those other reviews are talking about. I read these reviews after i got the pants and was agonizing about using or returning them.

After about 25 days in them I am thrilled. Spent a few days in 45 degrees in wet snow. Everything on my outside was soaked and these pants kept me totaly dry. Other days were around 0 deg and again toasty warm and dry.

The fit is not bad, I bought a size a bit larger than I might have bought in other pants and then the boa keeps them snug.

All in all I am very happy with these and would recommend them.

Can they be used with a belt instead?
