686 New Balance 2012 Boots VS Last Years 2011 Boots

By Ranked #506 - Boots October 27, 2011

So these are massive, but inside not so much, I have flat feet ride a 10 boot but this one actually fits me as a 10.5. Not as stiff as they make it seem and straps that just cause bulk and weight need to go. I rode them for about 100 plus days and they are dead now...

It is October 27th, 2011 and I have now been riding this years limited additions for 10 days now. They have removed all the crap, trimmed them down, stiffened them like nothing I have ridden before, that are as light as a free style boot, I have ridden in hundreds of boots over the past 20 years in all types of settings and these are by far the lightest, stiffest, and most comfortable boots I have ridden in to date. Price would be better suited in the low mid $250 range, but I can tell these 2012 designs are going to change the back country boot for ever. If you want a light, stiff boot that do what they say this is it. Forget last years attempt!!!
Also they fit me perfect as a size 10 and I am a size 10 boot.

Thanks for the review. Awesome stuff. Do you know would these suit well for a wide foot? New Balance is the only sneaker i can where as they have a wide version. Wondering if these also cater to a wide foot?
