I'm not buying anything else from this site til this crap is gone.
A lot of responsibility comes with the priviledge to wear the cross of a NSP patroller.
Earn it don't buy it!

Any CSPS or NSP member can get a much better quality jacket than this for less through the Ski Patrol - I've got a closet full of my kids Burton clothing and while it looks cool, none would survive what I put my Ski Patrol gear through in a season. For what it's worth, on any given hill, all Patrollers know each other - I could pick out a poser wearing this jacket from a mile away, and the coat would have to go. Visiting patrollers never wear their gear on the hill because they lack knowledge of local protocol and just confuse scenarios; when I'm at another mountain, I'm there to have fun riding, and am happy to leave the patrolling to their own experts. Burton makes nice fashion clothing for snow sports folks; they should stick to what they know.

For starters impersonators passing an injured skier who then sues the ski area for ski patrol not providing immediate aid, and ANYONE clearly identified as an aid-provider (ski patroller wearing a jacket, EMT in uniform, etc) is REQUIRED by law to stop and render aid. The uniform tells the public that the person is a trained responder. You would have to be an idiot to not see this causing issues not just on the hill but also in every day life. Its not about the title ive earned on the patrol after 5 years, its bout people going to the wrong people for help and wasting our platinum 10.

Why do you think only scammers would want to get a hold of this jacket? I'm a patroller and I'm very glad this site is carrying it. There are over a hundred patrol voluntreers on my small 30-run mountain in Vancouver, BC; plus another 40 paid patrollers. That's 140, time that by at least 30 and that is just the number of patrollers in the BC province alone. God knows how many NSP members are out there in the US (paid and Volees)
