I purchased these pads to protect a severe bone contusion on my right knee; however while these were definitely well padded, the fit was terrible. I purchased the L/XL size. I only had them on for a couple hours when my right leg began cramping, when I went into the lodge and looked they were beginning to cut off the circulation to my leg as was evident by the discoloration of my skin. I have average leg size and according to the fit guide the L/XL should have been the right fit. Also, these pads are BIG, they aren't your average little knee pads. If the fit was much better I would have kept them as I enjoyed the protection they did offer.
