Good on dry days

The first time I wore these I thought they were great, but it was a fairly dry day. They were warm, fitted well and made it easy to get my jacket over the tops.
But wore them on a wet day and they felt like they absorbed the water and became very heavy and eventually became wet on the inside. Now on the hunt for a new pair.
