Its super hot. Well, heats up fast is what i mean. with my friend's i used once, it took like 5 minute to get it hot enough to wax. this one takes maybe 30 seconds before its melting wax. the temp dial is a little sketchy, but it works alright. the flat rounded edges make smoothing wax super easy. Its cheap too, so use it twice and you've made your money's worth off it instead of taking it to the ski shop.
