I have ridden Nitro and a Burton Custom. I am 5'10" and tried Demoing a 155 with Flow bindings and had issues with it being too slow and hard in the POW to turn in. I usually ride a 158 but that size wasn't available. So I went with a 161. I was going to get a Burton Custom Flying-V but didn't want to deal with their new EST bindings and the limited options available with EST... and have been told that the mounting disc for other bindings did not have the same effect as the EST- Burton is getting too proprietary.. plus had read reviews of this board wanting to turn too much on the fast down hill.I opted with Ride Nitrane Contraband bindings and the board is better than I could ever imagined. STABLE going fast, easy to turn in POW and floats on the fresh POW like a dream... in fact as I write this I can still feel myself in the fresh POW on this board through the trees... its pure heaven... it catches icy patches on the edges like it was made for it. I would say this is like driving a Ferrari... I also have a 2006 SL but doesn't have the new Rocker camber and other features that the 2011 has. Also, I called Never Summer and talked to Tony- these boards have a great 3 year warranty and awesome customer service. And they are made in Colorado... USA made. You cannot go wrong with this board. It is a dream board that you will never get tired of. This will take you through many many seasons! And when you jump and everyone sees that neon green they all know your riding a stick that is sick! And they all say eeewwww ahhhh wow- he is on a Never Summer dude and the will swoon over you... HA!
