Not the right glove for me.

This is the first time I've purchased a proper sliding glove. "If youre still duct-taping cutting boards to work gloves, youre blowing it." - This has been me for the last 3 years, work gloves from Home Depot with self-fashioned sliding pads.
I figured I would finally rock a proper slide glove and went for these simple Sector 9 pieces. The gloves and pucks seem well made and are comfortable to wear; but they are not the right glove for me.
As an amateur slider I don't have very good control over my form during slides. Because of this I end up placing most of my hand on the pavement during slide attempts. Since this glove only has puck on the palm I managed to quickly wear out the finger tips after forgetting to keep my fingers off the ground one too many times.
The bottom line is that if you have control over your form and can keep those fingers off the ground, these gloves will suit you just fine; but if you're like me and need more contact with the pavement, go for the Surgeon gloves instead:
