I am an older rider who likes to go fast on the groomers and sometimes beat myself up in the deep powder I weigh 220 and put a lot of force into my turns. Recently on a trip to Alaska I noticed the heel in my driver X boots lifting on a toe edge at high speed (very uncomfortable feeling) as loss of control translates into the prospect for a mighty crash. I find the lacing system has limits and has reached the max in terms of its ability to keep my heel locked in tight. I am 60 plus in age and dislike face plants and tomahawking so I will be looking to a BOA system. The boots are about 2 years old and seem to be loosing their fit. I will try a heel lift or other support mechanism. Cheers.
