Just got this bag in black to replace an old Heli Pro pack that my dog partially ate. It's larger than the Heli Pro, but still low-profile if it's not fully loaded. This should be a great pack for carrying extra gear & goods while snowboarding/skiing, or for day-hiking or short camping trips (2-3 days).

Dakine forgot to include a dedicated sleeve/pocket for the hydration bladder; it kind of just floats around in the main compartment. Maybe this won't be a problem in action, but the Heli Pro pack had a pocket for the bladder. This is really the only negative to an otherwise great backpack.

Dakine does have a dedicated hydration sleeve built in to this bag although it took me 6 months of use before I found it. It is located neatly rolled up in a very hard to detect pocket along the top seam of the bag just inside and above the velcro flap for the back access panel. Again it is very hard to find and none of the documentation I have read on this bag or any that came with it even hints at it's existence.
