Waterproof?

This watch is pretty, but not waterproof in the least. I bought it for my daughter who is a kayaking guide, and her first time out it fogged up. She didn't swim with it on, only moved the kayaks in and out of the water. The description boasts out it's waterproof construction. Ugh!
