Great idea, bad product   12-04-07
BacVert (1): rating
Fortunately, Flow is not in the aerospace business. "A-plus" for rear entry design and hop-and-go capability; "A" for total adjustability of every aspect of the binding. You must have the technical skills and 3 hours or so to spare doing it INDOORS; "A" for comfort, stability and responsiveness, both with freecarve and alpine setups; "F-minus" for poor materials (brittle and underdesigned). Two fasteners and one strap broke off during my two outings with these brand new bindings. No falls involved. I am an easy-going carver that does NO jumps. The tech at the pro-shop indicated where the highback locking lever will eventually rupture.

My favorite bindings   01-06-08
terrainjunkie (1): rating
These are my favorites of all time. So much performance-- the responsiveness of Flow's "power triangle" is no joke, and the strap is unbelievably comfortable. Easy in and out is the frosting on the cake. Not sure what "BacVert" is up to with the 3 hour set up, get a clue and read some directions for once, and make sure your gear is dialed before you go ride. If you're a gentle carver, than this binding is over your head anyway. I highly recommend this to any solid freeriders out there.

Not bad, not bad at all   04-17-08

So, your first day out on these things, you may find yourself cursing up a storm and trying to make small adjustments on the slope. Don't bother. Just accept the fact that your first day out may be a bit miserable. But a bit of readjustment, you'll be surprised how great these bindings can be. On my second day, after loosening them up a little, I was in and out of them in seconds. It really changes your whole experience. Not having to stop and sprawl out after your chair lift ride is a pretty remarkable experience. And they are COMFORTABLE. Forget about those two cramp-inducing pressure points. The front glove piece pretty evenly displaces the pressure across your entire foot/ankle area...makes for very comfy riding. On the downside, to really get these bindings to the point where you can slip in and out of them like your favorite pair of stank ass Birkenstocks...you do lose a little bit of the tightness you may be used to. If you think I'm wrong, and want to prove to yourself that these bindings can be just as tight as your Burton's with the added ease of one click in and out, then go for it. But I'm telling you, I've tried. If you're doing technical stuff, then I wouldn't recommend these, but if you're out there for big mountain free riding and aren't worried about losing just a little bit of tightness around your boot and ankle...then these are great bindings. p.s. if your girlfriend is a skier and has that tendency to make you feel like you're some-kind of a laboratory test monkey while she waits for you as you sit, butt in the snow cranking your bindings to spec...then your first day, effortlessly snapping into these guys...well, it's a pretty sweet, silent FU. ENJOY!

Extremely Happy Customer   01-09-08

I have to agree with terrainjunkie. These bindings are the S#^t... hands down. I have been tired of sitting down and having to crank into my rental bindings. A good friend of mine has 2 boards that have Flow M9 and M11 bindings, for over 4 years of hard carving and spills. Not a single problem with the bindings. When my friends heard that I got these, were they envious. Granted I bought last years model. It took only 20 minutes to get them fitted to my boots. I can't wait till next weekend. I highly recommend Flow bindings.

Think twice   01-13-08

I have mixed feelings about these bindings. When they weren't broken they rocked! But! Always carry spare straps with you! I have been riding for 20 years, trust me I know how to ride. I'm a ski patroller who rides a board. When its below 20 degrees, be very careful with the top pad straps, they shatter. Not just in hard carves but also bumping them in the lift line. I managed to destroy last year's pair in 35 days. If you do purchase these binding lock tite the little screws on the back of the highbacks or they will come out, and your screwed because Flow is the only people who have this hardware. Out of 35 days count 7 as down time waiting for straps and hardware from Flow.

The best bindings on the market   05-15-08
lfs2100141552 (1): rating
I have had many different bindings and none even come close to Flow, especially the NXT FX. They are more comfortable, stable, durable and most importantly, ten times easier & quicker to strap in & out of. I honestly have no idea why anyone still uses the outdated conventional strap bindings. Comparing rear entry bindings to old style is like comparing HD audio cds to an 8-track.

This is my second pair of Flow Bindings and I am very pleased with my choice. My riding are on the big trails at Vail, from cruisers like Riva Ridge to Blue Ox to the Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin. They have increased my confidence and help me get the most from my board. They are high tech, unbelievable comfortable, and I get so much more out of the board. All smiles.

Flow NXT FX - The ultimate freeride   03-12-08
richz (1): rating
The Flow NXT FX is the best yet. These bindings have much better feel and response than my old Pro S model. They are more easily adjusted, and more comfortable, which I did not think was possible, but Flow did it. I love them! RichZ (Montreal)
