Ride Snowboards hit the market in 1992 with four board models and a vision of building snowboards “for the people”. Originally based in Redmond WA, Ride proved its commitment to snowboarding by signing top pros like Mikey LeBlanc, Hana Beaman, and JJ Thomas. After launching Cappel Clothing in 1994 and relocating to Preston, WA in 1995, Ride dropped Preston Bindings (later to become Ride Bindings) and Ride Boots on the market. Ride is currently based in Seattle WA, and continues to develop revolutionary technologies and styles while staying true to its original vision of “selling the dream”.

The Yukon has changed a lot since I first rode it back in 2002-2003. The board now has some much needed dampening, Ride stepped it up with 90a slimewalls this year. So like the freestyle board you have so much more feeling under your feet and the slimewalls dampen the board so that you don't get any Vibration/Chattering. When you take this board up to speed the response and edge hold is amazing for a wide board and the extra width is so great when you hit a powder stash, you just float through without any effort at all. If you like to carve, ride in the trees, powder or just point it and burn down the trail as fast as you can you will love this board.

Simply Amazing 12-18-07

The Ride Yukon is amazing! I am 5'10, 173 lbs. with a size 13 boot and intermediate advanced rider. I just came off of a Ride Timeless and the Yukon 159cm blows this board out of the water. It carves great and when you hit the pow you fly right through it. No more toe or heel drag and tons of amazing responsiveness. This board is not for the light at heart because when you engage the edge, it holds like no other. No sliding out of this one. It is not a very forgiving board so I suggest you know what you are doing when you get on it. I am a smaller guy on a wider board and it works better then my previous board(s). Great carving, amazing speed, superb stability and it was satisfactory in the park but I personally do not do too much park work. A must buy for intermediate advanced, big footed riders.

Not bad, not great 07-21-08

Not bad but not great. For 5 bills I expected more. The simewalls made it feel slugish and I washed out on a couple turns where I didn't think I should have. I don't understand why boards made in China cost 500 bucks. For that price it should have a better warranty. It's ok but there are better boards out there.

Love the Yukon 01-18-08

This board served me well up at Whistler this last week. Its wide waist profile easily accommodated my rather clunky size 13 boots without any significant toe or heel drag even when cutting across the steepest runs at the peak. I decided to ride the 159 ( I am 6'2 but a light 165 lbs) Given the amount of powder up there I could have used a few extra centimeters, but the board was a dream in the park. Fast base and tough compound handled the rails and tables without a serious ding Pros: Wide waist takes big feet Great looks and bright colors Lightweight. Slimewalls? Though I didnt really feel the difference. Cons: Stiff Stiff Stiff, but it loosened up after a few days Its a lot of board to get moving from toe to heel and back but once you get the hang of it you wont go back. The etched topography map of the Yukon on the deck made stomp pad application quite tricky. Any small spikes/stars came off but my larger single pad stayed in place.

Yukon you know and Love 06-26-08
Mr. Tidbit (89): rating
The Yukon is back for 2008/2009 as the board you've loved for years. The wide version of the Concept TMS this board is designed for the rider that has a size 11+ boot that wants a board that will do anything. With the quadratic sidecut ride uses on their boards, this board will lay down turns just as good as narrow boards, yet floats in powder like a dream with the extra width. Take it in the park/pipe and ride rails with the strong/fast True Color sintered base. If you are only going to have one board, ride the entire mountain and have a bigger boot size... You won't be disappointed in this deck.
