Burton Ruler Snowboard Boot - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Great boot   12-05-06

Bought these boots from this site about 2 weeks before the season started so I had a chance to break them in a bit and get them heat-molded. These boots are amazingly comfortable. No pressure points and the lacing system is top-notch. Burton has seemed to fix some of the problems found in last year's speed lacing systems, so all is well in that department. After a full day, you'll feel the boot start to fit a bit looser, but I think that's to be expected. I wear a size 14, so half sizes weren't an option, but if you wear a 12 or under, make sure the boot fits a little tight. The heat molding will push it out and it will make sure a more consistent ride. All in all, this boot truly does Rule.

Perfect for me   12-05-06

This bag holds everything I have with space to spare. I've got the mesh bag on the inside filled with goggles, two sets of gloves, four beanies, two pairs of socks, and a set of tools. The boot bag fits my size 14 Ruler boots (I don't think a size 15 will fit...it's a tight squeeze). I've got my Baron ES with large Cartels in there, along with a rock board plank underneath. In the main zipper on top, I've got my pants and my jacket stuffed in and it fits perfectly. The rollers help in hotels and airports a LOT. Great bag for the traveler or someone who just wants the extra protection. The padding in this thing is great.

Burton Pinnacle XCR Under Glove - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Hands down the best glove I've owned..   02-10-07

After riding with Dakines, Grenades, and other Burton gloves, I finally decided to check out the Pinnacle XCR. First time I used it was in Breckenridge and it was about 15 degrees outside. I didn't use the liners, and my hands were still warm. A week ago, I was in Breckenridge again, except this time it was -40 degrees. With the liners in, these gloves saved my hands from some serious frost bite. The pouch for hand warmers on the top of the glove is insanely useful and these gloves are TOUGH. They provide the best dexterity I've ever seen in a glove, and that was a main selling point. One thing you may want to note: these gloves provide excellent insulation. That also means that if you stick cold hands into them, they will stay cold for 15-20 minutes before they start warming up again. I usually wear these gloves for a while in the lodge before I head out on the slopes so everything is nice and warm, then for the rest of the day, my hands are sweating. Great glove!

Burton Baron ES Snowboard - Wide    Read other reviews of this product

Best board I've ridden on..   12-05-06

I wear a size 14 boot and ride the 159. I just bought one of these suckers a couple months ago and got the chance to ride it at Breckenridge for 3 days straight over Thanksgiving. This board is FAST. It was the fastest board on the mountain. But speed is nothing without control...and that's something this board has plenty of. No matter how straight and fast you're going, you always feel in control. In the park, this thing soars high and lands soft. Great board, although I wouldn't recommend it for beginners who can't push it to its full potential. This board definitely packs a punch and if you buy it you won't be disappointed. If you get this board, make sure you get some Cartels to go with it. A+ board.

Burton Cartel Snowboard Binding    Read other reviews of this product

Good, responsive binding.   12-05-06

I've got these bindings riding on my Baron ES and I must say they're unbelievably comfortable and responsive. These things have been around a while and there's a reason they're still around: THEY'RE WORTH EVERY PENNY. One thing I recommend is keeping the high-back adjustment screw stocked with Loc-Tite because it seems to like coming loose after you unclip after a day's riding. Other than that, these bindings will take you through everything you want them too. Great all-mountain binding.

One more thing..   02-23-07

I forgot to write this in my review, but these gloves DO have a goggle wide and nose wipes. The goggle wipe is located on the inside of the left index finger, and the nose wipes are located on both thumbs.

Durable, but not so much warmth..   12-08-06

I've had these gloves for quite a while and they just never quit. They look like they're brand new, and they've taken some hits. The durability of these gloves is definitely A+ and the waterproofing is outstanding. One complaint I have is when these gloves are put to the test in below 20 degree weather; if the temp gets into the teens, it's time to grab a different pair of gloves. In my case, I've got some Burton Pinnacle XCR's that are perfect for the cold stuff. I think this is a great early- or late- season glove.
