Burton AK 2L Cyclic Jacket - Men's    This product is no longer available

lightweight and functional with burtons trademark quality   04-20-08

Great lightweight jacket. Perfect for spring days or even just those rainy days when you're not out riding. Has all of Burton's great "gadget" features like google pocket and ipod pocket, pass pocket, pant to jacket interface, etc. The lining really slides nicely agaist base layers too making your range of movement feel great. The only thing I didnt like about the jacket is its cut VERY slim. I have several Burton jackets in XL that fit just fine but this one makes me feel like a fatass...

Burton CO2 Snowboard Binding    This product is no longer available

Best bindings money can buy, Period.   04-20-08

I own these and a pair of the even more astronomically priced C60s and these are easily the better of the two. I agree with the other reviewer who doesnt agree with their "stiff" rating. I definately wouldnt call them flexy but I certainly dont condiser them super stiff, I'd call them about perfect in my opinion but, then again, I'm 6' 225 lbs and ride a '64 wide custom x that most people call huge.. so I guess these might be very stiff for someone 50 lbs lighter, on a smaller board. For all the people complaining about the price... that's Burton, either you like their gear and see its worth or its too pricey but you most definately get what you pay for. Not just in terms of the product itself but, should the need arise, their support is second to none. These binds are light weight, look great, are about as secure as welding your foot to the board (sorry to the reviewer whose foot mysteriously slipped out but I'd chalk that up to user error), have just the right amount of flex and will make you feel like you can take on any terrain with confidence.

Burton Custom X Snowboard    This product is no longer available

If Jesus rode, this would be his board...   04-20-08

Its like walking on water or parting a sea, the Custom X just makes things that shouldn't be possible seem so damn easy!!! I picked up a 64 Wide after wrecking my old Ride. This was the first time I'd ever spent so much $$ on a board but it damn sure won't be the last if this is what it's like. You can hold insane lines, the base is crazy fast (flats, what flats?) and it's about the most stable board I've ever ridden... I imagine this is what it'd be like if you could make a Cadillac that handled like a Masseratti... and could drive down the face of the gnarliest steeps you can find.

Burton Expedition Pant - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

The best among Burton's outstanind lineup of baselayers...   04-20-08

I own this as well as the AK silk & middle weights and I really just cant believe how much warmer this is then the middleweights. I usually ride with a UA Cold Gear compression layer, then either the silk or midweights depening on weather... Got stuck in a storm up at mammoth this season and picked up a set of expedition top/bottom at a local shop. It was so cold I wasnt sure wether or not I should wear these AND the midweights... I went with just these over the cold gear and was so warm it was stupid, -10 with 50 mph winds at the summit and I could've set up a lawnchair I was so comfortable. I was so impressed I just picked up another two of these as well as two more of the 1/4 zip tops.

Burton AK 2L Cyclic Pant - Men's    This product is no longer available

As good as the more expensive AK lineup...   04-20-08

I own these and a couple pairs of the more expensive 3L Hover pants... these are actually a bit warmer since they're not a shell strictly speaking, and are a much better fit for spring riding and warmer days.. even cool days that arent stormy. The 2L fabric isnt quite as weather-proof as the 3L but, take my word for it, unless you plan on spending a lot of time camped out in the snow you wont miss the difference. The Hover is still my favorite pant ever but these are a great value for the price and wont let you down. Plus, they're way better for those warmer/calm days when you wont be layering up.

Burton SL-10 Snowboard Boot - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Absolutely Awesome!!!   03-13-08

I picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago. I've gotten to ride only six times since then but I know already that these are easily the best boots I've ever put on my feet. The support is incredible, the liners really envelop your feet and hold your heel.. even without the jbars. The outlast really does keep you warm.. but not too warm. Absolutely awesome boots. I've owned a couple pairs of Northwaves and a couple pairs of 32s... I'll never buy anything other than SLs from here on I think. I've heard a lot of people cry about the speed lace system and that its flimsy.. I couldn't disagree more. I'm 6' 225lbs and torque the shit of my laces and they haven't come close to snapping or fraying or anything yet. Like I said, only 6 days so far but they're as strong as the first day I put 'em on and do a great job of tightening you down in each zone.
