Is the Blue Ionized lens mirrored or not?
While all of Dragon's Ionized type lenses are mirrored, the Blue Ion lens has a much higher VLT (25 - 35% variable light transmission), meaning the tint is not quite as dark as a gold or a black mirrored lens. So the mirrored effect will really look the best on cloudy days, for which the lens is intended.
Leanne Pelosi Signature Goggles - WINNER
Purchased a pair of Leanne Pelosi Signature/ Gold Ionized goggles and i have to say im impressed.
They are a snug fit and block our glare and sun very well. Lenses didnt fog up at all.
Highly recommend getting a pair!
Great for smaller faces
I went for the mythical unicorns and these are the smoothest goggles I've ever owned. If you've got a smaller face and find most goggles to be oversized on you, definitely give these a shot. I've been through Oakleys, Anons, Airblasters, & Von Zippers and these are by far my favorite. Nothing crazy special about them, they just feel goooooood.
Goggles were awesome!
Purchased these as a gift and got our first chance to use these this weekend. We had a major cloud cover with moisture all day. These goggles held up in the conditions. They never fogged - even when we stopped for a beer break! Great goggles!
I see that it is not helmet compatiable?...
I see that it is not helmet compatiable? What exactly does that mean? If I buy a helmet will I have to buy new googles or can I make it work?
According to Dragon this goggle IS helmet compatible. You can also see in the description paragraph where is calls it a helmet compatible goggle. Sometimes Backcountry accidentally messes up the stats when entering them.
As far as helmet compatibility with goggles, the biggest thing I've seen is that the goggle strap will adjust farther to go around a helmet. You can also run into making sure that goggle frame doesn't interfere with the helmet(as in the frame being too big to fit in the face opening of the helmet). For the most part though, goggles tend to be too bulky to run into that a lot and nearly all goggles these days are helmet compatible.
