Description

Shield your eyes from the brutal sun just like the Mr.Fanning does.

After Mick Fanning threatened to carve his own sunglasses from driftwood he found on the beach, Dragon gave him his signature-model Shield Sunglasses with glare-crushing polarized lenses. Mick spends more time in the sun than a California raisin, so Dragon trusted him when he said these shades needed wide coverage lenses, water- and smudge-resistant lens coatings, and rubber nose pads. Slide on these large-and-in-charge style shades and tell some ladies on the beach that Mick made these sunglasses just for you—they're sure to believe you.

I bought these in flat black with the blue ionized lens and I liked them so much I bought them in two other colors. The polarization is great! if you are out on the water and want something that wont fal off your head and kill the glare, all while looking sick, the shields are you best bet! Only minor drawback is the they are tight so if you wear a hat with these they start to give me a headache after about 30 min.

After two years on the drawing board, Mick says Dragon's top-end Shield are "the only sunnies you'll ever need," and he could very well be right. All the performance you could want from a high-end sport model (great coverage, protective lens coatings, burly construction, secure and comfortable fit), with a very bold and modern utilitarian profile that begs to be taken to the street, or out on the open water. If you need something else, you're probably not doing it right.

* polarization on these lenses is already great, but go with an Ionized lens option for maximum on-the-water glare-decimation
* XL profile/coverage, but not XL temple width
* comes with a custom fanning/shield soft case
* made in italy, if you're into that kind of thing
