The DVS Men's E-Stone Militia Snow Skate Shoe is a limited edition tribute to photographer Ethan Stone Fortier's ability to capture the beauty within the technicality of snowboarding. Best part is after you reflect on how you wish you could either nail a trick as solid as MFM or snap a shot like E-Stone, you can brush the remaining snow from the shaded sections of the skatepark in your mountain-less town and skate. Taped seams fend off moisture whether you're rolling in the rain or stumbling in slush after last call and the moisture-wicking lining helps helps keep your foot from pruning up like your member after a long night in the hot tub.

These shoes aren't really any "warmer" but they have a few features that are waterproof, thus making them warmer in cold conditions. They have taped seams between the sole and the insole. This is so water doesn't seep in, and keeps your body heat in the shoes in colder conditions. They also have a stitched inner liner and a gusseted tongue. Again, this is to keep the cold and water off your precious toes.
In warmer weather, you may notice they are slightly warmer than a regular Milita from DVS, but it wouldn't be uncomfortable. You probably wouldn't notice the difference unless it was 90 degerees or more.

These shoes are very good looking.
The sole is a bit harder than I expected, but I'm sure after some use it will soften up a little.
The comfort is spot on, just as I expected.
When I bought these shoes I tried to buy two pairs, knowing that I would want to keep wearing this cool shoe long into the future. I only got one shoe... and yes, I wish I got two.... even more now.
I recommend these shoes.

IMHO What makes these shoes so attractive is the color combination going from Heel-Toe: Grey > Light Grey > Black.
I don't know what it is about that color combination, in that order but it's spot on. As a matter of fact, I would by this color combination on any other shoe. It's too bad, this shoe is the only one I've come across. Perhaps the last one I'll ever find?
The replacement shoe fails to achieve this secret ingredient, and my hard earned cash.
