Description

The OG of oversized vision.

It's hard to imagine how we viewed the mountain before the Electric EG2 goggle. Were we all squinting? Since its inception, the EG2 has a pure and simple goal—reduce the frame size, increase vision to HD status, and do it all with obscene amounts of style.

  • Oversized dual-layer spherical polycarbonate lens provides unrestricted vision in all directions with the resiliency to withstand impacts
  • Anti-reflective technology reduces fatigue caused from reflective glare
  • Super anti-fog and anti-scratch hard coating keeps vision clear and prolongs the life of the lens
  • Mold-injected thermo-plastic urethane frame remains flexible in cold weather and fits over any face type
  • Contoured triple-layer face foam conforms to your face and wicks moisture to bring comfort to your sensitive mug
  • 43mm strap with adjuster dials in the proper fit as quick as you can say 'EG2'
  • Helmet-compatible design sits flush with most helmet types and can be run with the strap over or under the shell

has anyone tried the yellow/blue chrome...

has anyone tried the yellow/blue chrome lens? more specificall for night riding? i know clear is better but thought i would ask. cheers!

Responded on

Hey Kaydubb,
The Yellow/Blue Chrome lens is mostly for cloudy or overcast days, it allows for 68% light transmission. For reference Electric's Clear lens allows 82% light transmission. You could use the yellow/blue if you were riding in a very well lit area, but clear is always going to be your best bet for night shredding.

Best part of my gear!

Iv been riding for most of my life and have never had such a killer pair of goggles protecting my eyes from the elements. Iv used these for 2 years now and there still in perfect condition.

The EG2's came with the Bronze/Red Chrome lens which provided great visibility on bluebird days. For overcast or night skiing, the silver chrome lens worked exceptionally well.

Great for glasses

I wear medium size frame glasses and have had a hard time finding goggles that fit. These fit great without hitting my glasses and fit under my helmet that has a brim. Great peripheral vision. Best goggles I've ever owned.

Great size and fit

I have never owned a pair of goggles that I'd actually wear. I preferred riding without any goggles whenever possible until I tried these out. They have a great field of vision and I don't feel like they cut off my peripheral vision at all. Overall I'm super satisfied with them. I'd definitely buy these again.

Cool goggles

Really like these. The mirrored lens are awesome. Seems to scratch easily but besides that couldn't be happier with them.

Hello,

Hello,

I wear medium size eyeglasses (5-1/2 in hinge to hinge tip, lenses 1-5/8 in high) and am looking for a right size goggle frame. Could you please measure the width of the face hugging foam ?window? in its widest point in the LARGE FIT GOGGLES? Also, what is the width of the WIDEST goggles that you have in their widest area EXCLUDING all the gizmos holding the strap?

Best regards,

Responded on

I don't have these right in front of me at the moment but I have rode with my thick rimmed glasses on under these and from hing to hing on my glasses measures 14.5 cm. I wouldn't recommend much larger than that.

Functional and Durable

These goggles look mad steezy, but you can tell that from the pictures so I won't harp on about it.

I have ridden 5 days with these and I have zero complaints so far. They have a really good field of vision and no distortion. I have an XL pro-tec classic helmet and these goggles fit very well over that massive bucket...none of the dreaded "gape"!

I have only had problems with fogging when breathing directly up into the vents. (This happens to me with all goggles, and the EG2's are always very quick to de-fog afterwards.)

Also, these goggles are still in brand new condition, whereas most of my equipment tends to get wrecked pretty quickly. After a few faceplants the lenses don't show any scratches.

I'd say these goggles are easily worth the sticker price. I picked them up on whiskey militia for $60, which is downright theft.

Superb

So comfortable around the head w or wo helmet. Great field of vision. Kept my face dry and protected. Looked awesome too.

Superb

My eyes are sensitive to anything less than top quality optics. How does Electric compare to Oakley or Smith in terms of optics?

Responded on

I have found that Electric does scratch easily. Overall, I'm not a fan. If you're after that similar frame size and style I have found that Von Zipper are nearly on par with Smith but with style.

Any opinion on the quality of optics?

Vision for days!!

Pretty well known fact that these goggles provide the most comprehensive field of vision for any goggle on the market. They were a bit tough to get used to using them under a helmet. I found that the already big frames sagged a bit once my helmet was on. I also ran into a few issues where they fogged up on me pretty bad. I would def. recommend this goggle to anyone riding mostly sunny conditions, just because that would eliminate the fog issue I had. Overall i really did like the goggles, it made it a bit tough going back to my original goggles.

Fishbowl

I love these goggles. The best vision out of any goggle I have tried on. You will need a bigger head for these to fit better. The smaller faces will feel like there is a bit of goggle sag, for those peeps check the EG2.5. These lenses are great in terms of durability. I have a pair from a couple years back and I have a few tiny scratches. There has been several times where I have thought to my self after I hit a branch or something like that only to find it didn't actually scratch.

Panorama On Your Face

These reviews weren't lying when they said you basically can't see the frame on the sides of these goggles. I have a big head/face and I hated wearing regular sized goggles when I went to Hidden Valley two weeks ago. So I saw these and read about them so I said why not. I bought these with the super sale (and am a huge fan of Electric, already have 3 sunglasses and a backpack) and tried them on. These goggles are too nice! Can't wait to use them on the slopes!

Pretty Rad

These goggles are sweet. They definitely are big, like everyone else has said. They fit very well with a Bern Baker XL Hardhat, and okay with a G10. You definitely need a big face to wear these. I wear a 7 3/8 - 7 1/2 fitted and it seems if my head was any smaller there would be a gap at the nose. For that reason alone is why I gave it 4 stars. So long that you keep the gaps between your face and the foam very limited, there shouldn't be any fogging issues. I love the fact that they come with a hardshell case with vents and a microfiber sack so I dont have to stress over scratching them. The graphics on the Singularity are siiickkk. Im glad they fit well under my bern. Im also stoked that they look so good without a helmet too. Definitely keeping these and if you want some big ol' goggles, I definitely recommend these. I was between these and the Dragon APX. Just based on the price I decided to try the EG2s first. Glad I grabbed these.

Best Goggles Ever!

I have been wearing these for three seasons now and i can't say enough good things about them. The fogged up once because i had let it snow inside the goggles otherwise they have been fog free, and the peripheral vision is unbeatable.
