I can not decide witch binding to take the faction or the republic. if the republic has a higher back its not good for me..

Responded on

The Republic high back is about 20mm higher than the republic, but it also has goodvibes. Goodvibes tech gives you 70% more flex than any traditional disk binding. Amazing flex and feel. But if you really can't handle the tall high back then get the Factions. These are awesome soft bindings that last for years.

Factions

I have had these bindings for my 2nd season now, and while cosmetically they look like they have been through a war, they still function like new. The ratchets still feel solid and work like new (which is more than I can say for Ride's bindings) and I have no problems with the baseplate or the hell cup. The screw slats on the disc however are kinda awkward to use and manipulate and the fact that they aren't covered up by the footbed is annoying, ice loves to get packed on top of the screws... Cosmetically though, I feel these bindings could use some better paint. I have the orange and teal ones from last year, and the orange paint on the aluminum parts has faded to a sort of light peach, and the paint chips off way too easy on all parts of the bindings. Also, the toe straps got a little torn up after only a few rides, but haven't gotten any worse since. Regardless, I am constantly getting comments and compliments on the two color scheme, so big props to Forum for that. Overall pretty solid binders, I would take Forums over Ride's any day.

Not Recommended at all...Just lookin out...do what you want

No No NO! these bindings are definitely not worth the money. I had mine for less than a month and had a few problems with them. Within the first few rides the seam on both of the toe straps came undone. The padding on the highback frayed and began ripping. The baseplate screws kept loosening every run. And then the kicker for me was when i got off a lift and my toe strap was completely gone. Apparently the screw came out and it fell off into a pile of pow(never to be found). They are also a bit heavier than I would expect from Forum. Just many things I would not expect considering the price and the amount of use they actually received....thank goodness for the dogfunks return policy...IM GOIN WITH UNION.

I wear a size 9.5 shoes ( Normal sneaker shoes ) . what size snowboard boots should i get ? i tried a size 12 burton freestyle and it fits snug on the sides but it was sorta an inch long on the front . should i get a size 10 ? i know different boots have different size's but roughly what should my snowboard boot size be ? i wanted to get the forum faction reversealous bindings .

Responded on

Forum boots are made to fit the same shoe size. If you are a 9.5 in shoes then you should run the 9.5 in boots. If you are worried they will be too tight on the sides of your feet then you could get a 10.

So, those bindings could fit in in a channel board just like the EST bindings?

Responded on

Yes they can. The disk has holes that allow the channel to work. Great bindings for a great price.

How well will these bindings work with a Forum Youngblood 156? Is there any other binding that looks sick with that board and is also better?

Responded on

Also what size should I go for?

Responded on

These bindings are great for park riding. They are inexpensive and really durable. The toecap is legit and the blend of aluminum and nylon works great together. These and the Youngblood will be sick together.

Responded on

they probably dont work good with any board considering the quality.

Forum Faction, or Ride EX? What is better for all purpose riding

Responded on

Forum Faction. It is a great price, the toecap is amazing. Even if the eva and synthetic leather get ripped away the polyurethane spine will hold the toe into place.

You get a nylon basplate with a aluminum heelcup. The best of both worlds. The faction is a great binding.

Between Forum Faction and Burton Custom, which one will you prefer??? Please help one intermediate snowboarder from Greece!

Best Answer Responded on

Personally I would go with the Forum Faction. Both are great bindings but the Faction has a better Toe Cap. The toe cap is amazing, really durable and it never slides up out of place. The combination of Nylon/fiberglass and the Aluminum heelcup offer more adjustability and better response. I say go with the Faction.

should i get the forum factions or the Burton customs ?

Responded on

Both are really good bindings, but I would lean towards the Forum Factions. They are a better bang for your buck. The Toe cap on the Factions are more durable, and you get an adjustable heel cup with them as well. Forum uses both Metal and Plastic to give you the best of both worlds. The ankle strap is pretty comparable to the Custom, You can't go wrong with either.

I have size 10.5 boots should i get large or medium? and if i get larges then will they go on my 152 forum youngblood chillydog without toe drag or anything?

Responded on

If you have a slimming boot, then run the medium. The sizes are supposed to be 8-10 for the medium and 10.5+ for Large. If you do have the Large, don't worry about toe drag at all. It will fit just fine on your 152 youngblood. Sick setup for sure.
