With Forum's lightest, strongest core, the Grudge is a kickass board for getting aggro in the park and pipe. One ride on this freestyle machine and you’ll know why people start salivating in its presence. Four carbon stringers running the length of the board, making it super snappy for easy ollies. When you charge a massive gap, the Grudge’s sintered base gathers mad speed, and riding switch is cake thanks to the directional twin shape.
Bottom Line: Get down and dirty with Forum's top-end, lightweight Grudge Snowboard.
1 of the nicest boards i have ever seen i love the looks. the board is a bit stiff but rides like heaven its very light and supper responsive even at high speeds. The only downfall is that you have to be very fragile with this board it chips easily and the top begins to peal off which drives me crazy and happens way to easy its about as strong as a egg shell. Just for the records Dogfunk is a gr8 company i love them
This is my third board and it has met and exceeded all my expectations. Great snap and pop for the park but also a great board to take anywhere on the mountain. It hasn't worn down on me at all since I got it and I would highly recommend it for the serious boarder.

I am 6'3" and 215 lbs. I bought the Forum 163 raider as my first board this last season and I have been progressing pretty fast in the sport. I have size 13 feet so I need a board that is wide enough for them. I am looking for a board that has a little more maneuverability and pop, is also great in all around mountain freestyle board that can handle heavy powder, as well as, groomers, boxes and the occasional rail.
Would the Forum Grudge 162 be a good board to get into considering I have 13 feet, for my weight, and also what I am looking for in a step up board?
Just took this board out for week in the Northeast. 8 inches of powder the first day and 14 inches the last day. This board holds an edge and glides through the powder so easily, takes out a lot of the work!

I have the 154, and thought it would be a good park board, but it is really stiff! I would recommend this board for someone who was doing more all mountain and backcountry stuff, than a park rat. The price is also high, but I guess you have to pay to play. It does have all the top end construction Forum offers.

The grudge is on the higher end of the spectrum for Forum. It may be a little to aggressive for you. It depends on your skill level. The grudge is not a rail board, but it is still doable. The size is a good size for you, but maybe you should look at the Destroyer wide. This deck is awesome and you will be stoked on the feel and the shape of the deck.
forum's site calls this an all mountain freestyle board. for me it is too stiff for rails and boxes, but it takes big kickers with ease and it rides powder ok since the board's side cut is a few cm off of centered. i have the '08 version, which is a little heavy, but i've read that the '09 version is much lighter. wax this one !well! or it won't be as fast as it can be.
you know the stiffness of this board? my park-board got 9 which is just fine but id'like to get a better jib-board.. so it needs to be flexible, someone know the stiffness?
It is about a seven on the flex-o-meter. I rode a 56 for my all over board. It worked for me but i thought it was a little too stiff for a straight park board. If you want the all mountain deck, super awesome. If you want a straight park deck, go with the destroyer.
well, tragically i feel inclined to give this bored a mediocre final review. I got a 158 and rode it in a variety of conditions without ever really being disappointed... and then the top sheet separated for no good reason... no big impacts or anything, just looked down one day and saw a bubble. By the time I got to the bottom, the bubble was about 10 inches long and ran the width of the board. *sigh*... So, while it was definitely a great ride, my opinion on the matter of durability is very much shattered after one season of riding it. *sniffle* rest in peace...
the Grudge is a really good board, when lauri and JP had their signature boards, they were both the grudge models, it works in the park and on the mountain. if you spend a fair amount of time in the park, maybe you should look at the destroyer or the scallywag.
I'm a beginner and wanted to ride the backcountry without having to sacrifice the agility of a freestyle board. This board hasn't let me down. It is easily ridden, super fast and lets me progress faster than I thought possible. The low weight is also a big plus. A good 5 stars.
yeah i think its very pow board the stiffnes is 6/10 which i use mostly for backcountry kickers, or good condition riding, which this board is very good for, for powder i would go for this board or maybe better for Burton Malolo this one is especially for powder or Burton Supermodel
I've actually had a decent experience riding mine in moderate pow, more than about a foot and a half of fresh and it gets pretty hairy, but I've taken this out for some great days. If you're mainly looking for a powder board, look elsewhere, but if you want a solid park board that can handle some powder too, I've been happy. (I have it in a 158.)
its really meant for freestyle/park not for powder or mountain riding.. but if your looking for a sick forum board go check out the forum roost its great for powder and freeride
