The Recon Wide is today's special.

Not all of us who love to snowboard can afford the the most expensive gear. And not all of us are built for skinny pants. Forum offers the Recon Wide Snowboard for the big guy on a budget who just wants to get out and put his free style on every inch of the mountain. Traditional camber offers solid support and the pop and edge-hold needed to put the pedal down.

  • Traditional camber profile offers the most pop and stability
  • Biax fiberglass laminate offers forgiving lateral and torsional flex for a soft, playful feel
  • Poplar's light weight and forgiving flex makes it the ideal core-wood for all-mountain freestyle progression
  • Twin-like shape features twin tip and tail widths for consistent switch riding with a setback stance for aggressive freeriding

is this board flexy so good for buttering and park?

Yes it is pretty soft, but not a real butter noodle. Its a mid-soft flex so its not stiff but not super soft either. This would be a good park board, especially at the price its at because it doesn't hurt your wallet as much if you scratch the base on rails or crack a sidewall.

Buttering around is fine. My first board was the 05 and i still somehow have it today. Its a great board for learning on just until you try and ride switch. But for being the price and softness its still a really poppy board that i still recommend today
