Stick out your opposing digits and hang loose one time for the Forum Shaka Snowboard Binding; and remember to bend like a reed, grasshopper.

Like releasing Excalibur from its rocky recess, Forum unveils the Men’s Shaka Snowboard Binding for all the bros of the round table. The Shaka’s flex disc hinge and split baseplate work with the natural flex of your board to deliver a more lively and responsive ride. Think of a reed bending with the power of a river current. The reed stays strong by flexing with the pressures exerted on it, unlike a brittle tree branch, which snaps in half because it doesn’t have the Forum Shaka Hinge Disc giving it the kung fu advantage.

  • Hinge Disc and split baseplate flex with your board for a more responsive more natural ride
  • Living Hinge Highback cups your boot in support and delivers rapid response without gaps, pressure point, or pinching
  • Brah Strap ankle strap and Throwdown Cap toe strap offer support at speed, excellent cushioning, and rapid response thanks to an internal 3D spine

Best Binding.

"Shaka" is Pidgin (slang Hawaiian, there's no s in the native Hawaiian language) for great, excellent, cool, brilliant, having fun, or good job. And this is the coolest binding out there! The hinge disk is so smooth and so nice! This is the first binding I've ever owned that has a pad over the baseplate! It is so comfy having that padding on hard landings! And who could forget, the Brah strap! It's so comfortable you forget its there!!

i hope your getting on with the shaka's better than me... 2 months into my season and i stacked it good and proper the other day, looked down and noticed i'd snapped the base plates on both bindings in the same place. they've been sent of and should be getting replaced but still very annoying.

Responded on

I had the same problem with the high backs. I broke my left high back on my first run of the season.

Responded on

how did you fix ur high back because it did the same to me.

Forum Shaka Snowboard Binding

these bindings are really sick, super soft and comfy flexable. the ankle straps are huge and gel coated like the higher end burton bindings. they aslo have fgel padding on the base for those hard landings. they have a nice flex 5 on a 1-10 flex scale. boots fits perfect in the heel cup. highback is totally adjustable..

only reason i give them a four is i cant streatch the baseplate mount disc out another inch like most bindings.. all in all these bindings are super fun, easy on the feet and ankels, and great for park or jumps to make landing soft and easy...

grab em while u can. shaka brah..

Shaka, Shaka, Cool, Smooth

"Shaka" means cool or smooth in native Hawaiian. Well, these new bindings are appropriately named. They are cool in that they look cool. They are smooth in that you forget they are on when you're shredding. I liked the lower profile and the iGel. I feel like I get greater reverse camber bend. Just so you know, however, you can't just screw these things down on a 4-hole pattern board and expect to ride. You have to be fairly mechanically inclined because the bindings require several adjustments to fit your boots. Additionally, you have to be conscientious about tightening your bolts because the cool hinged plate causes greater loosening. But, that said, these are the best bindings I have ever owned!

Responded on

I found them no more difficult to install then any other binding. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.
