Description

Although it is kind of a stiff in bed … oh, wait, that’s a good thing.

Chances are, Mr. Right isn’t hanging out at the mountain—boarder dudes who can offer stability, predictability, and a forgiving nature aren’t exactly available in spades (and really, who doesn’t like them bad instead of right?). But no matter, because you can expect to live happily ever after with the Forum Women’s Spinster Snowboard. In a park board, the qualities you seek rule, so Forum built the Spinster with a lower rocker height and softer core profile between the feet, so you can nail that particularly steep rail with confidence.
  • Women’s Chillydog continuous rocker profile ensures stability and a catch-free ride
  • Soft flex helps you get the most out of your next nose press
  • Low-maintenance extruded FreeBase base holds wax and is easy to repair when you run out into the parking lot
  • Swinger’s Club tech thins out the core’s tip tail and tip so the boards spins quickly and floats easily

This board caught my eye, but I'm looking for input on whether or not it would be a good board for me, and maybe one which size would be ideal--

This is my first season riding and I started out on a rented 151cm rocker board. Then I tried a borrowed 145cm traditional camber board and liked the speed and maneuverability part but hated catching edges all the time. Last time I went, I rented a 145cm rocker and I liked that the best, although I am worried it might be a little small for me. I'm 5'7" and weigh about 120/125lbs.

I would really like a board that I can ride for the rest of this season and maybe next that I can explore the whole mountain on. Right now I'm mostly practicing on groomed runs but I want to play around in the parks and explore everything as I progress.

Am I looking in the right place?

This is a great board. You probably don't need it because it is your first year but it is a great board. It is reverse camber, so you don't need to worry about catching your edges that much, it is still stiff enough to give you the response you liked from your camber rental. This board is really fun and it will last your a couple years for sure. The 146 is probably your best best for sizing.

Demo-d this board at NorthStar in Tahoe and it is amazing. completely changed my riding. its real forgiving, has a lot of flex, and is just over all really fun.

What are the changes from this year's Spinster and the one from 2009/last year?

Better shape, better core, and women's specific chillydog(reverse camber). It is way better.

Park or All Mountain

This is a really fun board! Even though it's marketed as a park board i'd take this board all over the mtn. The Swingers club technology can actually be felt when spinning.... If this is your year to learn new tricks and spin to win, this is the board for you!
