FYI - The currant colorway is much closer to a flat orange than the red it appears on this site and foursquare's website.

The Melnik is the top of the line Foursquare has to offer this year. The great 3 in 1 jacket is a one stop shop for sure. On cool days run the 2L shell, on Cold days, add the insulated technical flannel to keep warm. On spring days, just run the flannel to keep dry. Some many options with just one jacket. The waterproof zippers, fully tapped seams are both super durable and long lasting. You will not be disappointed with this jacket.

Medium. small will definitely be too small once you wear layers underneath, etc.

Maybe this review is premature as I haven't used the jacket out in the field yet. I can however comment on the general quality of the jacket and the flannel, seems very well put together compared to my last jacket, I think it will be quite durable. Its got wrist gators (I think these are a pre-requisite for every jacket!!) and the yo yo lift pass thing is a nice touch. It's nice to have the option of running the shell if it gets a bit warm or using it with the flannel witch is supper warm. So far so good...happy with the purchase and definitely recommend it.

This jacket is legit. If it's above 32F, no need for the liner, but I bring it along anyway to wear before/after and for lunch. Its comfy! Jacket has wrist gaiters and a powder skirt with loops and snaps. Two chest and two hand pockets, one forearm pocket, and a yo yo for your pass. This thing also keeps you dry even in wet melty snow. Definitely happy with the purchase.
