Broke on day 1
These literally worked for about an hour. I got them out of the box and started listening to 'em. Put 'em in for a bike ride and by the end of the ride sound was cutting in and out due to a poor wiring where the cord connects to the iPod. Within a week the sound was completely gone. Sad stuff.
The Frends The Coupe earbuds are a great product. The cloth wire insulation is more aesthetically pleasing than the rubber or plastic insulation on most earbuds. The buds themselves also have a chic look. The pause/play button on the wire is subtle and seems to work well with an iPod. I'm not sure, but I believe there is a built-in mic as well, which works magnificently when the earbuds are plugged into the computer for skype. I imagine the mic works work equally well for an iphone or other smart phone (which I do not have).
It's a simple product, for basic needs, but I would definitely recommend.
These literally came out of the box with bad wiring. If you touched the part where wiring touched plastic on the input jack you got static. When the static stopped the sound was sub par. Not impressed. Not ever buying anything from Frends again.
On the plus side, I got to find out how awesome BC's return policy is.
Bum Bum Bummed. . .
First of all i love Frends and what they bring to the snowboarding community, and i was super stoked when these headphones came in. BUT when they came in there was a slight tear in the cord near one of the ear buds. Although, this made me only somewhat bummed for they were still functional. Not even a week later i found that the microphone pod button feature stopped working completely. Keep in mind that this happened with VERY mild usage.
Highly Recommend, Great Sound
Buddy of mine got a pair of these the other day from BC. I was admittedly skeptical of their quality after seeing what he paid, thinking that cheaper headphones produce lower quailty sound. He insisted that I tried them, and after listening to a variety of different music, I was both very surprised and impressed. The buds produce very good highs and bass, but the midrange was most impressive. Overall they have a very hearty, crisp sound, and match or beat the sound quality of most earbuds I have owned - which are 2 times the price. Today I have ordered my own pair and cannot wait to use them.
Broke right away
Look and sound great, but within a week they broke. The cord hooked up to the microphone pod is extremely fragile. The smallest tug, it ripped right out. Pretty disappointing.
Looks Awsome Dont work for S&*%
I bought the rasta frends the coupee headphones, from dogfunk came out of the box with the paint shipped and the microphone stuck returned them cause I thought it was just with that one pair got the new pair same problem DONT BUY UNLESS YOUR UNBELIEVABLY GENTLE WITH YOUR HEADPHONES YOU CANNNNNOT!!!!!! WEAR THEM SNOWBOARDING
Sound good most of the time
They sound great, love the no tangle wire. One of my earbuds came slightly smashed and makes alittle clicky noise when I put it in my ear. Not Frends fault...One of the cords came shorted out, once I moved it around it sounded find.
