If want to progress, you're going to fall a lot. Protect your head in the Encore 2 Helmet.
The crew at Giro gave the Encore 2 Helmet an advanced, durable construction, because eating it from 15 feet above the lip requires serious head protection. The Encore 2's low-profile skate style looks good without going overboard with tons of vents or extraneous features. 13 mesh covered vents provide ventilation, without letting snow in if you crash. Giro covered an impact absorbing EPS liner with a plastic shell for durability, so the Encore 2 will last through many seasons of riding.

Chalk white helmet
Great helmet - lightweight and warm at the same time. Highly recommend it! My Bolle goggles fit nicely with it.
No real complaints. Just comments. My spy goggles fit nicely over the helmet. There are three different sizes of padding to place in the helmet to customize fit which is nice. If you plan on wearing a hat with the helmet make sure you measure your dome with the hat on. I would buy a size larger if i ordered again. You can use the helmet without a hat but the vents cause a bit of a draft.
The vents were nice, keep my bald head warm without steaming up. Fits well in an XL and gives good protection over the occiput or low-back base of your skull. . .an underestimated area needing protection. Forgot to mention that earlier.

Anybody knows if this helmet fits with the Electric EG1 Chrome Goggle - Chrome? Both size and color (I dont want alot of gap...) The Matte Chalk color helmet and Bandana White/Silver Chrome goggles.
Can't say, I tend to wear shield sunglasses, dragons, or nike optics. You can see more and the eye protection is the similar and really almost the same with face-fitting dragon sunglasses or oakleys
What More Can I Say
Well, the other reviews pretty much sum it up. A great helmet that is stylish, durable, light weight, comfortable, warm yet plenty of vents to keep you cool, not to mention a great price. I am very happy with this purchase.
my 1st helm
Finally broke down & bought helmet. Great venting. Good comfort. Light.
Takes a beating from tree limbs splendidly, much better than rest of gear.
Sound of ice covered branches busting off hard plastic is a bit deafening.
BRIGHT ORANGE COLOR IS UNCOMMON AND WILL DEFINITELY GET YOU NOTICED BY SKI PATROL WHEN POACHING UNOPENED/OUT OF BOUNDS TERRAIN.
like the helmet...felt more like a bobble head tho. serves its purpose i guess.
Perfect for Someone Who Doesn't Want to Wear a Helmet
For the 8 years I've been snowboarding I kept putting off buying a helmet for two reasons: it would ruin my style, and I didn't want to spend the money on it. Well finally I was talked into buying one for a snowboarding trip to Canada, so I did some research and settled on the Encore2 and I couldn't be any happier. I'm still getting used to having a strap under my chin but other than that the helmet is wicked comfortable and warmer than wearing a hat. Also, the helmet has so many vents that my head can stay comfortably warm and I don't have to worry about sweating or anything. On top of all that, I think its a pretty sweet looking helmet. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a first helmet or for someone looking for a new helmet that will be functional and stylish without spending a lot. The one con I have about the helmet is that I got it in black and it seems to scratch and pick up paint from other things really easily so after a month of regular use its got a bunch of multi-colored marks on it. But then again, who cares, its a helmet!
GREAT FIRST HELMET
What a great choice. It vents well on warm days, but a thin liner hat on cold days will give you all the warmth you need. The removable ear pieces also add warmth and comfort. I thought it would be odd wearing a helmet, but I barely knew it was there. A great helmet for the price.
