Stomp any terrain with the Giro G10 MX Helmet.

The Giro G10 MX Helmet gives you protection, versatility, and style all rolled up into one killer design. Utilizing in-mold construction, Giro bonds the EPS liner to the polycarbonate shell, creating a lightweight, durable, hyperventilated brain bucket. The G10 MX Helmet comes equipped with a removable visor for getting gnar in the park, rushing the trees, or hanging it out in the backcountry, but this helmet's core identity remains freestyle. 14 vents with on-the-fly adjustable control keep your brain at its perfect operating temperature, while the Goggle Notch channel keeps your goggles in place with a gapless, flush fit. The G10 MX is compatible with Giro's TuneUps audio system (sold separately).

LOVE it.

I've got this thing in white and it's easily the comfiest helmet I've ever worn. Vents are great, shape is perfect, I like the visor. Totally sweet helmet.

Just a few questions: Can you take off the canvas? What color is underneath? Are there any advantages to the canvas? Can you replace the canvas if it tears?
Thanks for the help

I'm pretty sure it is not designed to be removable, but you might be able to send it in for replacement to Giro if it tears. I'm going to go outo n a limb to say it is just grey under the canvas. It is a style option though, no real use.

Good & could take big hits better

I bought this helmet about mid way through the season replacing another Giro helmet. I took a bunch of big falls and the band would pop out of the attachment in the front of the helmet if I smack the back of my head good...which would happen a few times a week. Other wise it fit great and saved my head from a few too many close calls. plus it has a visor.

Your owner manual specifies pretty clearly that this helmet is not designed to withstand multiple hard hits. If you've hit things hard enough to allow the helmet to deform enough that when you smack the back of it something pops out alignment in the front, it's time to get a new brain bucket.

Buy it!

This helmet is awesome for all kinds of skiing. I got it this season and its really comfy. The mx visor looks cool and is easy to remove. It can also reduce how much snow goes in your face when you wipe out. Definately worth the money.

Can you get the MX version of this helmet with the wireless bluetooth audio?

Pretty sure you can't buy the MX with the tune-ups already included, but you can get a tune-up kit for it, same one as the regular G10.

Not the best fit compared to other goggles, but definitely good, and the gap is very minimal, almost not there.

Great fit, bit of a side view. And yes, I do wear a mouthguard when I ski.

I've had the G10MX for two seasons now and although I use my steezier Shiv for park riding I always love rocking the G10. When I first saw my buddy with it I knew I HAD to get it. It's the ideal helmet: great protection, extremely comfortable, easy adjustable fit, secure goggle strap and it looks dope whether you're in the park, BC or just shredding groomers. Giro makes the best helmet in my opinion and this helmet is absolute perfection. The visor is useful and makes this helmet look way better than the regular visorless G10. Every goggle I have tried with this lid has fit perfectly and comfortably. Pick one up and you won't be dissappointed.

Great Helmet

Light weight with good adjustment and air flow features.
Works well with my Smith goggles, too.
Visor is a nice feature for reducing glare or keeping snow off goggles.

I am trying to find a Grey or black G10...

I am trying to find a Grey or black G10 or G10MX in Vancouver BC and nobody has one at all, no matter what the colour! Despite searching several ski and board shops in Vancouver I have come up empty. Snowcovers in Vancouver said they are sold out of this Helmet but Whistler may have some. I would like to get a G10 this Saturday in Vancouver if possible...anybody know where I could get one ? Will I have to give up and buy another brand if I want to get a helmet this season :( ?
Update: Whistler Snowcovers is completely sold out of the G10 also.

I say order it online but it is a little late for this season I guess. Check shops in the fall, or order it this summer for a killer discount.

After reading all these reviews I'd like to buy a black or grey G10 or G10mx ( if the fit is right) but nobody has any G10 in stock in Vancouver so far in my search - tried all the regular ski shops - Snowcovers is sold out but says Whistler has them. Anyone know if I can get one this Saturday in VANCOUVER BC

Responded on

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that you could order one from backcountry.com (the website you're looking at) and have it delivered to Vancouver (or anywhere else).

Does this helmet have the little wheel...

Does this helmet have the little wheel adjustment to make it bigger or smaller in the back? Also does it have any way to adjust the height on your head (up/down)?

Responded on

It does have the wheel in the back, to adjust the fit. It sits right on your head, not suspended, so you can only pull out the liner, or possibly shave the foam but I definitely don't recommend that.

I am looking for the visor (to purchase) for the G10 ski helmet. Do you know where I can find that? Thanks

Responded on

you cant, sorry dude giro G10 is just the plain old G10, no visor compatibility...but if you get this one the visor is removable, but the 3 attachment points will look a tad bit strange withought the visor on them

i live in sydney australia, long summers, question: do you or would you make a similar fashion helmet for someone on a wave ski (not a jet ski) yes the inside material would have to be well and truely able to cope with salt water, the outside shell could be after the fashion you have displayed for the "g 10 " the material light and firm, with the sun visor ...Steve O

good question, i just spent a few seconds on google and found out that EPS foam/liners are unnafected by salt water...but you should still ask giro's customer service department if this is safe to use with wave ski type impacts, this is ur one and only head were talkin about
