Is this good for a beginner that's 8 yrs. old.? Just tried her friends and has good balance already going downhill. this is all new to me, what would you recommend as a good beginning longboard? thanks.

The globe corduroy is very well balanced. It is one of my favorite decks for it's shape and size. The board is good for carving cruising sliding, you name it. But I think the best part of the board is the fact that it is GREAT for bombing down hills. You can get an awesome amout of speed without wobbling and killing yourself. It's easy to steer, too, so you won't have to be taking wide turns to keep from falling:)
