If you walk really fast with corduroy pants on, you'll catch on fire; with the Globe Corduroy Longboard, you will set the streets on fire. A versatile longboard, the Corduroy is wide enough for stability in everyday cruising at any skill level, but long enough for an expert to point down a steep hill without getting the death wobbles. With its eight-ply and epoxy construction, this durable longboard is ready to go the long haul.

Is this good for a beginner that's 8 yrs. old.? Just tried her friends and has good balance already going downhill. this is all new to me, what would you recommend as a good beginning longboard? thanks.
Great board, great price
The globe corduroy is very well balanced. It is one of my favorite decks for it's shape and size. The board is good for carving cruising sliding, you name it. But I think the best part of the board is the fact that it is GREAT for bombing down hills. You can get an awesome amout of speed without wobbling and killing yourself. It's easy to steer, too, so you won't have to be taking wide turns to keep from falling:)
