Description

Yes, you can.

It is totally possible for a woman to have it all—and we’re not talking about insignificant crap like a power career, handsome husband, and three lovely kids, yada yada. We’re talking about important things … like enjoying both rocker and camber performance in one board. Specifically, the GNU Women’s B-Pro C2BTX Snowboard. Designed for aggressive freestyle riders, the C2 Power Banana camber combo lets you have your rocker and pop it, too.
  • C2 Power Banana profile features rocker between your feet for maneuverability and float, and camber at either end for extra pop so you get a powerful yet forgiving ride
  • Magne-Traction edges give you five additional contact points for maximum edge grip in all snow conditions
  • Sintered base provides a fast, durable surface for sliding over the snow
  • Beans bio-polymer topsheet provides the highest strength-to-weight ratio in the industry, as well as the most earth-friendly origins

My Gnu B-Pro C2BTX

This board is unreal. It's like a dream come true for me! I got the 149cm and I'm about 5'4" and it suits me just fine :) It's great for hittin' some rails and jibs along with ridin' on the big mountains. I just got back from the Austrian Alps and it handled great! Ice or slush..... no problem. Great response in all conditions. The grip I felt on the icy sh** was unreal. The flex is ideal for me and the presses and ollies I'm tryin' to do. Not to mention the killer graphics on this baby. Also it part of the B4BC (boarding 4 breast cancer) which is a great foundation to support. All in all, this board is BADASS! I'd say, if you're lookin for a new board to go along with your ever increasing and new found skills or if you're just lookin for a straight upgrade this is THE board.

Keep on ridin,
Karate

is this a good board for beginners?

Hey Arizza,

I definitely wouldn't call it a beginner board, however, with the Magne-Traction edges and its soft playful feel, it actually works great for any skill level.

will this board be good for park too?

Yes, It is an all mountain board and a very nice board as well. By having the C2BTX you have camber and reverse camber which gives you the benefit of buttering but also still getting good pop as well as being able to shred wherever you want on the mountain.

I don't care how it looks...how does it ride through powder in trees? Is it responsive enough. And on dust on crust days does it chatter at all...would want to take it about 45-50 mph.

Responded on

this board would deff have some float in powder but with its flex and shape idk if it could straight handle 45-50 mph, thats not to say it cant. its a sick board tho so i wouldnt be discouraged.

I have last years C2btx - it is virtually the same as this years. It isn't completely effortless in powder - but it floats nicely (no back leg burn). It's great in the trees. This board is quick edge to edge - so whipping through trees is fun. This board is SUPER responsive - almost to the point of unforgiving. And you will appreciate the magnetraction on dust on crust days... I have not noticed any chatter - ever (the c2 shape pretty much eliminates chatter). But if you're regularly going 45-50 mph - then you may want something A LOT stiffer than this.

Dogfunk has this board listed as a twin, however on the GNU the page says it's a directional twin. The GNU spec sheet lists it as a true twin...

So is it a directional twin or a true twin??

Responded on

The B pro is a directional twin. However for future reference the difference is a directional twin is a twin board but the inserts are drilled a little set back, you can still set a directional twin up to be a true twin by centering the bindings on the board. A true twin is a twin and also has the inserts drilled the same distance from each end of the board.

wow!!!!

women's snowboards look like that nowadays? wish there was enough of a market so that I could demo something like this. there's no way in hell a 140cm for tiny little feet would come in this size. maybe i can take growth hormones. i could do it for snowboarding.

what is the difference between this model and the '09 model? it says on the specs that this one is recommended use for park and pipe and the old for all mountain. is that the only diff?

the color way thats about it

It has C2 this year, which is a big change. Bio-Bean topsheet.
This is typically more of an all-mountain Freestyle board, but our friend Jamie Anderson has been destroying the pipe and park on this board this whole past season. It's very versatile, but generally has a more freeride attitude.

Hey Dan,
I have the 2009-2010 model and it is C2 as well.... its not new on the 2010-11 model.

Responded on

Last year they had the B-Pro in C2BTX and in BTX. This year they have decided to only offer C2BTX. It also may be a tad softer... Otherwise - it's the same.

Which base colour is available in the 149 model? The picture shows 3 different bases, yet the option is "one colour" .... how vague.

Best Answer Responded on

They are totally assorted and randomly manufactured, shipped and picked. Almost every one is unique, just like each person riding them. You will love this board!
