Gnu Carbon Credit BTX Series Snowboard - Wide - 2009

The Gnu Carbon Credit BTX Series Wide Snowboard’s Banana Technology will put you and your big feet on Cloud 9: it makes this board jib extremely well and float effortlessly on powder. Magne-Traction ribbed edges give you superb control on all kinds of snow, for your riding pleasure.

  • Banana Technology (rocker) lets you stomp your board flat for tip-to-tail edge contact and enhanced control
  • Magne-Traction serrated edges give you unreal control and edge-hold, even on icy terrain
  • UHMW double-sintered sidewalls won’t succumb to jibbing abuse
  • GNU made the core from sustainable wood for less environmental impact
  • Bases come in assorted colors—we can’t guarantee what color you’ll get, but we’re sure you’ll be stoked

Bottom Line: Put a wide banana between those big feet of yours.

I'm 6'4" 200, size 12 boot and am looking at the carbon credit btx wide for an all mountain board. I ride mostly baker so btx is good for pow but I want something I can still rip the corduroys at mach balls with. I am on a budget or else I'd go with the dark series C2BTX wide. Will this board do it for me? OR will the T Rice C2BTX 164.5 fit a size 12 boot? it seems like it would be close...

Get a 159 wide carbon credit. I got a chance to check this board out and it is steezy. Quailty all the way and it looks much better in person. I'm also 6'4 and have a 163 Gnu Chb wide and I wish I had the carbon credit in a 159 wide all the way.

the larger sizes of the T Rice are pretty wide, i ride a T rice with size 14 boots, its a sweet board. The C2 BTX is sick

Great Board. Carves through the crude and floats on the soft stuff. Mine is a 165cm for make flotation as I ride more big mountain stuff vs. park & pipe. I highly recommend for the price and have several friends who will purchase a Gnu or Lib after my reviews.

151 is pretty big for you, you could be down around 146, but if you like what you got so far, thats cool because its all personal preference

For a good all mountain board check out the Lib Tech Travis Rice or the GNU Riders Choice

I'm 6'2" about 180 lbs., and I've been riding 159s my whole life. I hear you can go down a few centimeters with the BTX though, so would a 156 by right for me or should I stick with the 159? I've read all the reviews, but a 156 still sounds short to me. I'm looking for an all-mountain board, not strictly pow or park.

Since you're looking for an all mountain board 159 is a better size for you. also, you really only need a wide board if your boots are size 12 and up

The Lib Tech Travis Rice is a great all mountain board, and Lib Tech/GNU's Magnatraction is the real deal it cuts through snow and ice like butter

Honestly for you height the 156. your weight makes a diffrence . you can easily ride the btx (non wide) without any problems.. ( i have a size 12) the wide helps displace weight for bigger riders

hope that hleped
