Description

Make the right choice.

Gnu's young guns Max Warbington and Blake Paul choose the versatile Rider's Choice C2-PBTX Snowboard whether they're headed to a backcountry jump or a slushy park. Though it graduated with honors in freestyle, the Rider's Choice also has degrees in powder, pipe, and pillows. Basically, it'll rip whatever the hell you point it at.

It features a deeper heelside sidecut and an asym flex to make your heelside turns as powerful and natural feeling as your toeside turns. The PBTX Enhanced Banana profile features a magical blend of rocker between the bindings and elliptical camber outside the bindings for incredible float in powder, catch-free buttering on hardpack, and response and stability at high speeds. Magne-Traction edges are serrated to slice through ice likes it's fresh corduroy, so you can lay down high-speed carves and stomp tricks on icy landings while everyone else is washing out left and right.

A blend of four different types of wood gives the core the perfect balance between lightweight and strong, and they keep it feeling nice and poppy too. UHMW sidewalls ensure durability, and the sintered base is fast and retains wax well to keep you moving through flat spots with ease.

  • A.S.S. asymmetric sidecut
  • Rocker between feet with elliptical camber towards tips
  • True twin shape with centered stance
  • Magne-Traction edges
  • Polonia, Great Lakes Aspen, Colombian Gold, and Rocky Mtn Aspen wood core
  • Sintered base
  • UHMW sidewalls

Better than the first time I had sex

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my second riders choice. I had the 09-10 deck in a 151.5 and it was an absolute gem for 200-250 days throughout college (I was high, hard to count exactly). This year was finally time for a new deck, and I had to go right back to what made me so happy to ride for 5 years.

I've never rode on an asym board before, but it's an absolute delight. I've had way too much fun just making ridiculous carves with this thing. I've ridden it in a good amount of powder (early season in Summit County has been pretty decent so far), and on ice; either way it's an absolute dream. Perfect stiffness for all around riding, and not too stiff for some park action.

Highly recommend it if you have a little extra coin to shell out. I figure if I get a solid 5-6 years out of it like my last one, it's well worth the investment.
